Why I'm building doubleopt.in
After exiting my company and investing in more than 100 startups, making introductions became one of the most useful things I do for founders. Every week I get dozens of requests for intros to customers, hires, and investors across my 13,000+ connections, and I want to make every one of them.
For a long time I was the bottleneck. Most requests came with a blurb I had to rewrite before I was comfortable sending it, and then I'd spend another twenty minutes across Gmail, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp working out who I knew well enough to ask. Good founders waited days for intros that should have taken minutes.
I looked at personal CRMs and AI tools, but they either stopped at search or wanted permission to send on my behalf, and I wasn't willing to risk relationships I've spent a decade building. So I built the tool I wanted. It drafts each intro in my voice and lets me approve it from my phone, and nothing is sent until both people have said yes.
I'm now working with a small group of angels, GPs, and operators who make a lot of introductions and care how each one lands. If that sounds like you, I'd value your input. It's a 15-minute call with me, and I won't be pitching you.
